Thank You letter from grateful resident

I would like to thank Crown Heights Shmira for helping me out last Motzei Shabbos. I called the Shmira hotline saying that my bike had just been stolen and Shmira responded with dozens of Unit’s. They canvassed the area for 3 hours looking for my bike, but the thief was gone. The story doesn’t end there, the next day I saw the thief with my bike on Montgomery St., so I called Shmira again and when I hung up the phone with the Shmira Dispatcher, there were already Shmira units on scene chasing the thief. I was also chasing the thief while screaming Chaptzem & Help.
I would like to point out something very important. While I was chasing the thief & screaming Chaptzem & Help, I passed many Yidden & barely anyone came to help; most people just continued walking like they didn’t see or hear me. In Williamsburg, when someone screams Chaptzem, everyone gets involved in chasing the criminal! Yidden in Crown Heights need to help each other. If you hear someone screaming Chaptzem/Help don’t just stand there, chase the criminal and also Call Shmira. The only way Crown Heights can be a little safer is if everyone helps. That means if you see Yidden chasing a criminal, help out! Please keep your eyes & ears open and if you see any suspicious activity or witness a crime, call Crown Heights Shmira 718-221-0303
very nice.

Shmira you guys rock!!
I am happy to see the hakaros hatov that some people have.
very nice.
I agree with the author of this letter. This community needs to unite and help each other out. we do a great job but we still have to do sooo much better.
Like the author said in other places Williamsburg is one of them people have each others back. Here we have people like that but not enough. It will never be enough until it is everyone.
United we stand, divided we fall.
good job shmira’
